India is a land that is rich in art and culture. There are so many classical and folk dance forms in India that are celebrated on a global level, as the artists practicing these forms leave no stone unturned in making their art reach new horizons. And fortunately enough, this hard work of the artists is being recognized now, and an example of the same was recently witnessed when a Los Angeles-based Kathak exponent Paramita Bhattacharyya received ‘Bharat Gaurav Samman’.
Talking about the accolade in an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Paramita Bhattacharyya shared, “The award ‘Bharat Gaurav Samman’ is given to someone who has worked tirelessly to make a significant contribution to their field of work, benefited society, and worked for the nation throughout their service.”
